Update: DON'T FORGET!
A couple of things to remember as we head into the holidays! First off, UMY will not be meeting on Christmas Day or New Year's Day. Next, we will be taking time off for Mid-Week Bible Study until January 11 (01/11/12).

Youth Sunday & Auction!
We’re on a tight timeline for the Youth Live & Silent Auction! The date is set and on the calendar: January 29, 2012! Since this fundraiser is THE big financial support for our mission trips for the summer AND this is my first time with it...we’re going to need all the help we can get! In the past this has been an awesome fundraiser, and I would like to continue that as we move along as a youth group. Please be in thought and prayer about what you can do to help out!
How can you help out? We’ll need youth to volunteer their time & talents! Maybe donate time for tutoring, babysitting, yardwork, teaching someone else a sport, computer skills, sign language, cooking…etc). Maybe you’re an artist and could donate a painting, sculpture, or other item. Maybe you’re a chef and could donate a pie, cake, or even a whole meal. Maybe you’re a musician and could put on a small concert of a few songs. These are just a few ideas of things that could be donated without a lot of work or money!
There will be a sign up list going around on Sunday (12/11/11) for youth to sign up for their donation(s) for bidding on the Youth Auction. We’ve seen all kinds of things donated…sports lessons, school tutoring, playdates, babysitting, handmade paintings/drawings…the only limit is you! All the youth are encouraged to donate their time, gifts, and talents! If you come up with something before then, don’t hesitate to drop me a line and let me know! I’ll put it right on the list! THANKS!
Besides donations, this is also my first time putting this together. So we could use help adults and youth in some of the areas listed below. Please let me know if you can help coordinate one of the following:
- Silent Auction – Help contact potential donors in the community, collect the donations bring them to Grace for setup (in the past youth have helped to gather items on a Saturday prior to the auction),
- Live Auction –Help contact donors, collect and organize items for the Live Auction,
- Silent Auction Youth & Setup – Help collect and organize donated items from Grace youth, members, and classes for the Silent Auction and organize setup the Saturday before.
If there are other areas that you think that you will be able to help, please let me know…again this is my first time on this side of the auction and I would appreciate all the help we can get!
Group Dynamix!
We are finally rescheduled for Group Dynamix on February 10! Mark your calendars and
Spots are filling up quickly! We only have as many spots as we can transport bodies!
Allen needs your Group Dynamix Consent forms, Medical & Release Form (follow the link at the bottom of this page or ask Allen), and your money ASAP! Cost is $40. We leave November 18th @ 6:00p and come home around 9:30a the next morning.
On Friday, November 18th, we'll be heading down to Carrollton, TX for an overnight lock-in event at Group Dynamix! The cost is $40 and you'll have to fill out a Group Dynamix consent form (which you can get by clicking here ).

We'll be leaving at 6:00 pm, Friday November 18th and plan on returning by 9:30 am the following morning!
