Rev. Dr. Frank Drenner

Pastor Frank and his wife, Christy, have three boys: James, 20; Miles, 17; and Linus, 14. Christy is a CPA and the owner of Drenner Accounting and Advisory, as well as Director of the Center of Connectional Resources for the North Texas Annual Conference. Pastor Frank is originally from Bay City, Texas a small community on the outskirts of Houston. After volunteering with the youth group in his home church he became a youth director. He accepted a teaching position the following school year, but felt the call to ministry shortly thereafter.

He received his bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State in ‘93, his Master of Divinity from SMU in ‘99 and his Doctor of Ministry from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington DC in ‘09.

It was at SMU that he met his wife, Christy. In 2001 he was appointed an elder in the United Methodist Church. Together they have served congregations across North Texas and in England. Pastor Frank’s spiritual gifts are teaching, discernment, and wisdom. He makes it his goal to connect the gospel to everyday events. He is passionate about history and helping others to think theologically, and pursues reinvigoration of the church through the model created by brothers, John and Charles Wesley.
